These honeys are not fakes, rather, they are exceptional honeys with qualities that justify paying such high amounts. We only have the manuka honey, but with time and according to the demand, we hope to be able to have some more at your disposal. 1. The world’s most expensive honey in the world

The most expensive honeys currently on the market are the following:

a) 1st Elvish honey from Turkey: 5,000 €/kg.

The most expensive honey in the world, costing up to 5,000 euros per kilogram, is this Elvish variety honey. The reason for its high cost is that getting to it requires entering a 1,800-meter-deep cave in the Turkish city of Artvin. Collection is also exceedingly challenging. Furthermore, the honey has been in the cave for seven years, which means that it contains a lot of minerals.

Moreover, this honey, which is produced inside a cave, has unique properties due to the minerals it contains. As a result, it is regarded as the greatest honey in the world and has special qualities. Those who eat it say it’s worth the price, but it’s not something that’s affordable for everyone.

b) 2nd Life Mel Honey from Israel: 420 €/Kg

Life Mel Honey is much cheaper, but its prices are still very high compared to more expensive honeys. This brand of honey comes from Israel and is produced from the nectar of plants such as Siberian ginseng, echinacea and uncaria tomentosa. For these reasons, its medicinal qualities make it a highly valued honey. In order to demonstrate its health benefits, the Israeli company has also carried out a number of scientific studies.

The price of this honey is around 420 €/kg and it has a dark amber colour with a very intense aroma.

c) 3rd Olivano Honey: 400 €/kg

This is a unique olibanum honey that comes mainly from Somalia, Eritrea and Yemen. Frankincense and essential oils are extracted from frankincense, which, according to naturalists, are products that help to cure a large number of illnesses.

This honey usually costs around 400 euros per kilo.

d) 4.ª Yemen Sidr Honey: 280 €/kg

Yemen Sidr honey comes from the Sidr tree, which is native to Yemen and belongs to the genus Ziziphus. It is a rare honey produced in the Do’an Valley in Yemen. This honey is harvested from the rugged mountains of Hadramaut and is free of any chemical residues.

This honey is very peculiar and has very similar properties to manuka honey, which is known for its high antioxidant content and for strengthening the immune system.

e) 5th Bashkiria honey from Russia: 120-200 €/kg

Bashkiria honey, or Bashkortostan, is honey from a Russian republic located between the Volga and Ural rivers. It is a honey that comes from the flowers of the lime tree. It is a honey with a very delicate flavour and according to them it has analgesic and anti-inflammatory properties.

f) 6ª. Honey from the trigona bee: 20 €/kg

This is another honey with a high price tag. This honey comes from a type of bee that grows in the jungle in South America.

The price of this honey is usually around 200 euros per kilo.

g) 7ª. Honey from the Opéra Garnier in Paris, France: 120 euros/kg.

This is a multi-flower honey produced on the rooftops of the Opéra Garnier in Paris, a leading urban beekeeping spot in the world. It is also a honey produced in a very symbolic place in Paris. A place where the best classical plays are performed and music accompanies the bees throughout the process of making the honey. This honey comes from the island of Socotra or Socrota in Yemen. The island of Socotra has unique characteristics for the production of honey together with a unique indigenous flora. This island produces an extraordinary multi-flower honey with a mixture of sweet and bitter flavours.

The people of Yemen believe that this honey has anti-diabetic properties.

i) 9th Himalayan honey, Nepal: 100 €/kg

This is the seventh most expensive honey in the world with a price of 100 €/kg and we have talked about it in several articles.

Himalayan honey is obtained from the world’s highest rugged mountains. A honey that is produced by a giant native bee and for its collection, the beekeepers have to risk their lives climbing with ropes to reach remote places that are very difficult to reach.

j) 10th Manuka honey, New Zealand: 100 euros/kg

Manuka honey comes from the nectar of the flowers of the manuka, a plant of the genus Leptospermum scoparium. This plant is an uncultivated plant from Australia and New Zealand.

2. Where to find the world’s most expensive honey in Spain?

In Spain, with the exception of manuka honey, it would not be easy to find all the honeys we have seen. They are very expensive honeys. Therefore, these honeys will be found mainly in their places of origin.

At present, we do not plan to add any of these honeys, unless a possibility arises for us to do so.
