It contains considerable amounts of essential fatty acids (linoleic and linolenic) and minor components; vitamins A, D, E and K; and antioxidants: polyphenols, tocopherols, Oleocanthal, etc.

The fatty acids moisturize and give elasticity to the skin, making the skin look smoother and younger. Vitamin E, polyphenols and oleocanthal are antioxidants that neutralize the harmful effects of free radicals and other oxidizing agents in the external environment, reducing premature skin aging.
